With sister restaurants in Lyme Regis and Ilfracombe, The Beach and Barnicott is the third addition to the family of high quality cafe and bar premises founded by Karl & Sean. Originally starting with The Lyme Bay in Lyme Regis as a humble cafe, it soon became apparent that the style of the café and food were so popular that there was a quick evolution into evening meals and drinks. The humble cafe transformed into a culinary tour de force in Lyme Regis.

Following on from the Lyme Bay’s success, the Lime Kiln in Ilfracombe was the next of Karl and Sean’s creations in 2023. And now we are here, in the heart of Bridport with The Beach & Barnicott. All 3 restaurants share the same core values: simple good food from local ingredients at a fair price to all, delivered quickly and efficiently. Topped off with comfortable, stylish surroundings, great local products and helpful, friendly staff – the alchemy for a good experience.

The Beach & Barnicott is the first of the premises with a late night license. We are thrilled to provide a venue for the fun folk of Bridport to frolic until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays with a mixture of live music and DJ sets being played after 10pm. We know that when there’s good music, good drinks and good company, even the most reserved of us can’t help but get up and have a little dance. You know you want to!

As well as getting your groove on at the weekend, The Beach & Barnicott also offers daytime food, coffee and cake, evening meals, classy cocktails and the all important Sunday roast.
